Frozen yogurt franchisee plans third store in Reno

Galena Frozen Yogurt Co. of Reno plans to open its third U-SWIRL Frozen Yogurt cafe early next year.

The company said it's leased space at the new Coit Plaza retail project next to Super Walmart on North McCarran Boulevard in northwest Reno.

Frank Fisher, chief executive officer of Galena Frozen Yogurt, said the company expects the store, a franchise of Henderson-based Healthy Fast Food Inc., to be open in January.

The company expects to have its second store, a location at North McCarran Crossing shopping center, open by October. Its initial location at 57 Damonte Ranch Parkway opened in 2009.
