Paralegal firms begin co-marketing

In an arrangement that it's unusual among paralegal firms, two firms in northern Nevada have created an affiliation to co-market each other's services.

The affiliation ties Fountainhead Associates Inc. of Carson City, a firm that specializes in corporate formation and documentation, with Paralegals Plus LLC, a Reno firm that provides personal legal documents such as wills and trusts along with business documents such as buy-sell agreements and partnership papers.

Gwen Pradere, who launched Fountainhead Associates in 1998, said the marketing affiliation with Paralegals Plus allows the two firms to broaden their reach.

Fountainhead, for instance, recently completed incorporation services for a business that also required a buy-sell agreement a document that's outside the usual scope of services at Fountainhead. Pradere referred the work to Paralegals Plus.

Cindy Scheinfeld and Collette Teuscher launched Paralegals Plus a year ago after meeting in classes at the University of Nevada, Reno.
