Of Stewart's senior starts are Theodore "Perpetual Motion" Pete, body punching Dan Jackson and heavy-hitting Roland Spencer.

The final step in a complicated series of events to provide a recognized Toastmasters speech program in the Nevada State Prison has been completed. The Carson City Lions provided funds for a "Gavel Club," area governor Bill Dolan said today.

A dying Carson City man's last wish is granted. Joann DiPolo Stambulonis has carried a picture of her father for 40 years. DiPolo dies 10 days after meeting his daughter again for the first time in 42 years.

After 42 dog years of devoted service to the Carson City Sheriff's Office, Scout retires.
