Obituary: Edith Marie Eddy Kawchack

Edith Marie Eddy Kawchack born June 2, 1920, in Steamboat Springs, Colo. to Henry and Hazel (Erwin) Eddy died December 9, 2011 in Carson City, Nev. at the age of 91. Edith was raised in Deep Creek, Colo. and married Steven Paul Kawchack of Craig, Colo. on February 28, 1947, in Glenwood Springs, Colo. and was married 53 years. The family moved to Gardnerville, Nev. in 1967.

She was preceded in death by husband Steve; son , Bradley Mark Kawchack; grandson, Brandon Eddy Kawchack; and her brothers, John, Kenneth, Harold, Norman and Albert Eddy.

She is survived by sons, Eddy and Tony (Wendy) Kawchack; and daughter, Julie Chitwood all of Minden , Nev. and Susan Injayan of Carson City, Nev.; grandchildren, Daina (Matt), Jay, David (Emmy), Devon, Emily, Jennifer, Sara, Jessi, Nicole and Steven; great-grandchildren, Jadyn, Haydn, Ainsley, Tristan, William and Sonny and Theresa Kawchack (Bradley) of Walla Walla, Wash.; and sisters, Helen Daggett of Vernal, Utah and Irene Kuchler of Montrose, Colo. along with multitudes of nieces and nephews.

Hobbies included reading, crossword puzzles, watching basketball, drinking coffee and spending time with her beloved family.

Edith was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and co-owner of Kawchack Pump and Well Service Inc. until retirement then winters were spent in Mesa, Ariz. where she became an avid fan of the Phoenix Suns.

Graveside services will be held on December 30, 2011 at 11:00 am at Eastside Memorial Park, 1600 Buckeye Road, Minden, NV.
