Robinson named to Tahoe regulatory board

Veteran natural resources consultant Steve Robinson has been named to the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency governing board as representative for Leo Drozdoff, director of the Nevada Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.

"As a former at-large board member myself, I know Steve Robinson's experience as a natural resource consultant will be invaluable to the TRPA," said Gov. Brian Sandoval. "Lake Tahoe is one of our most precious state and national treasures, so it is important to me that Nevada has a strong voice on the TRPA."

Drozdoff cited Robinson's experience both in the public and private sector. He was transition director for outgoing Gov. Jim Gibbons and also served as deputy chief of staff and legislative director for Gibbons.

Prior to that, he worked in Gov. Kenny Guinn's office after serving as Nevada State Forester and director of the National Interagency Fire Center. As well as overseeing environmental permitting and regulatory activities.

Robinson served as the transition director from outgoing Governor Gibbons' administration to Governor Sandoval and his team.
