High Desert Rockers will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the National Guard Armory in Carson City, 2460 Fairview Drive just south of the prison. Do not try to enter the gate before 6 p.m.
The guest speaker will be cartographer Jack Hursh from the Nevada Bureau of Mines and Geology at University of Nevada, Reno.
Hursh has contributed to several tour guides concerning Nevada geology. He will give a slide presentation on the backroads of Nevada, representing adventures around Nevada's outback.
High Desert Rockers provides rockhounds an opportunity to network and share their finds. Attendance and refreshments are free.
