Obituary: Marguerite Theresa Brown

Marguerite Theresa Brown, 71, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011.

Marguerite was born June 26, 1939, in Seagraves, Texas. At the age of 9, her family moved to Fairbanks, Alaska. She attended school in Fairbanks through her high school years. In her junior year of high school she met her husband Pete. They married in 1957. Not too long thereafter, while still living in Fairbanks, they started their family. In 1971, Marguerite and Pete moved their family to Carson City where they and all of their children have resided since. They established their family business, ABC Heating and Sheet Metal, in 1980, where Marguerite worked as the office manager for 30 years.

Marguerite will be remembered by all as a caring and loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to many. She always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. She particularly enjoyed family gatherings for birthdays and holidays as it gave her the opportunity to see everyone. Marguerite was quite busy but in her free time she enjoyed reading or visiting with family and friends.

She is survived by her mother, Marjorie Brown; her husband of 53 years, Pete Brown; brothers Clifford Brown and Dennis Brown; sisters Carolyn Borchard and Mary Arthur; children Jeffrey Brown, Joseph Brown, Theresa Conner, Jon Brown, James Brown, Jerome Brown; and 12 grandchildren who were her joy.

Marguerite had requested no memorial services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Stroke Association.
