Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• Monette Martin, 52, self-employed from Carson City, was arrested at 7:58 p.m. Tuesday at Saliman Road and Robinson Street on suspicion of felony third-offense driving under the influence, gross misdemeanor possession of prescription drugs without a prescription and misdemeanor failure to obey traffic control devices. Bail was set at $10,000.

• A 20-year-old unemployed Carson City man was arrested at 7:44 a.m. Wednesday at Long Street and Rand Avenue on suspicion of misdemeanor failure to obey a traffic control device, contempt of court and probation violation. Bail was set at $4,199.

• A 27-year-old U.S. Navy sailor from Carson City was arrested at 4:16 a.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of East William Street on suspicion of misdemeanor obstructing. She allegedly interfered with a deputy who stopped the vehicle she was riding in for failing to yield to an ambulance. Her bail was set at $407. The driver, a 43-year-old nail technician from Carson City, was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor drunken driving and failing to yield to an emergency vehicle. Her bail was set at $1,219.

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:

• Report at 10:33 a.m. of a caretaker pilfering jewelry from an elderly woman.

• Report of a pistol found at 1:22 p.m. in a vacant apartment on South Carson Meadows Drive.

• Two wallets left the North Carson Save Mart for over a month were turned in to the sheriff's office at 1:59 p.m.

• Report at 6:13 p.m. in the 3100 block of Deer Run Road of a man punching out a window on a vehicle parked behind a bar there.

Lyon County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:

• Report of an intoxicated man breaking windows at 2:24 a.m. in the 200 block of Murfield Court in Fernley.

• Report of an intoxicated man driving his car into a ditch at 12:05 p.m. on Village Drive in Fernley.

• A vehicle struck a pedestrian at 5:23 p.m. on Newlands Drive in Fernley. The pedestrian was complaining of leg pain.

Storey County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded recently:

• Report at 7:35 a.m. Monday that the arm at the Gold Hill railroad crossing was stuck down, causing traffic to back up.

• A caller asked that a deputy pick up a pigeon with a possible broken wing at 9:07 a.m. from Sutton Street.

• Single-vehicle rollover at 7:01 a.m. Tuesday at Cartwright and Sazarac roads.
