Don of Bellingham, Wash., died of cancer at age 73.
Don was married to Donna Fields Rochon. He was the son of Joe and Mona Rochon of Carson City.
Don is survived by his wife; son Hunt Rochon; daughter Heather Magnusson (Todd) and three grandchildren. Other family, Densley and Joyce Fields Palmer, Dick and Diana Fields Nelson, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins were very dear to him.
Don was a graduate of Lewis & Clark College and received his master's degree from the University of Colorado. He worked as a nuclear chemist for the Hanford Atomic Products Plant in Richland, Wash., and for Atlantic Richfield in Chicago and Bellingham.
