Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• Jason Scott Lantis, 28, unemployed of Carson City, was arrested at 8:52 a.m. Wednesday in the 1800 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of felony domestic battery with choking. Bail was set at $5,000.

• Douglas Homer Martin, 55, a concrete finisher from Carson City, was arrested at 6:25 p.m. Tuesday in the 800 block of East Musser Street on suspicion of felony probation violation. No bail was set.

• A 23-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 4:09 a.m. Thursday at Edmonds and Fifth streets on suspicion of drunken driving and disobedience to a traffic control device. Bail was set at $1,214.

• A 30-year-old retail worker from Carson City was arrested at 11:16 p.m. Wednesday in the 800 block of East Musser Street on suspicion of misdemeanor drunken driving. Bail was set at $1,132.

• A 46-year-old truck driver was arrested at 8:19 a.m. Thursday in the 700 block of Silver Oak Drive on suspicion of domestic battery. Bail was set $3,000.

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:

• Report of a man driving recklessly through traffic on Highway 50 East. The man then went to a motel and with a crying child in tow, hastily knocked on the room door and left the child there. The caller was concerned there may have been an Amber Alert out. An hour later deputies located the man. He said he probably was driving recklessly because he was late for an interview. The child was fine.

• A 1997 white Honda Civic coupe was reported missing from the 800 block of South Saliman Road at 10:50 p.m.

• Report of a carved painted wooden bear missing from a Gregg Street front porch at 1:28 p.m.

• A man on Corbett Street reported at 4:10 p.m. that his ex-girlfriend stole movies and pawned them.

Lyon County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:

• Coroner call in the 200 block of South Whitacre Street at 11:44 a.m.

• Report of students at Fernley High School in possession of drug paraphernalia at 12:37 p.m.

• Commercial burglary report at Sutro Center in the 600 block of Highway 50 East in Dayton.

• Arrest on Mark Twain Avenue in Mark Twain at 8:49 p.m.

Storey County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:

• Report at 7:19 a.m. of the railroad crossing arms down and signal sounding at the Gold Hill crossing.
