Shannon Litz/Nevada AppealChris Merritt, Maureen Leck, Sierra Voight, Hannah Anthony, Kendall Gilliam, Tom Henderson and Kendra Thurman will be in the Silver State Charter High School play.
Silver State High School's Performing Arts Group, the SSHS Stars, are performing, "Acting with the Stars" on Friday and Saturday. It's a take-off on the ABC television show "Dancing with the Stars." In the ABC version, celebrities who are not dancers perform with professional dancers.
In SSHS's show, adult members of the Carson City community have come in to act in short scenes with theater students at the school.
The show has both funny and dramatic scenes and also features performance by SSHS's Glee Club. Performances are 7 p.m. Friday at the school, 3719 N. Carson St. Call the school at 883-7900 for more information.
