Rev. Neal Anderson, minister of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Northern Nevada, has been elected president of the first board of directors of Acting in Community Together in Organizing Northern Nevada.
Other officers include Rabbi Teri Appleby, Rabbi of Temple Sinai, vice president; Father Chuck Durante, pastor of St. Teresa Avila Catholic Community and Pastor-Administrator of St Teresa of Avila Catholic School in Carson City, treasurer; and Myra Soifer, rabbi emeritus of Temple Sinai, secretary.
The other founding directors are Rev. Rich Smith, minister of Reno First Congregational Church, United Church of Christ; Rev. Mike Margerum, deacon of St. Paul Episcopal Church, Sparks; Rita Sloan, coordinator of the Life, Peace and Justice Commission of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Reno and Rev. Carl Wilfrid, minister of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
Pat Fling has been named executive director of the group.
