Q & D Construction of Sparks and Valley Concrete Company Inc. of Reno were named top general contractor and top subcontractor for 2011 by members of the Nevada Chapter of the Associated General Contractors last week.
Also recognized were Western Nevada Supply and Hartman Engineering LLC.
Founded in 1964, Q&D is a 12-time winner of the AGC chapter's SIR Award, which stands for "Skill, Integrity and Responsibility." Valley Concrete, also founded in 1964, is a three-time winner of the award.
Western Nevada Supply of Sparks was honored as supplier of the year for the third time.
Hartman Engineering LLC, which was recognized as design professional of the year, is an eight-time winner of the award.
