Gail Aldrich of Genoa has been selected as chair of the board of directors of AARP, and Edward Watson of Reno has been named to the board of the national organization.
Aldrich, first named to the board in 2008, worked as chief membership officer for the Society of Human Resource Management and as vice president of organizational development for the Electric Power Research Institute.
Watson worked as chief operating officer of Dairy Queen, capping a 36-year career with the company. He served on the company's board from 1998 until he retired in 2007.
