A tungsten mine planned by Reno-based EMC Metals Corp. would be profitable at current prices for the metal, finds an economic studied commissioned by the company.

With a capital cost estimated at about $30 million, the proposed Springer Mine near Imlay could generate annual revenue of $43.2 million and profit of $17.8 million, the study found. EMC hopes to re-start the mine in 2013.
