LAS VEGAS — A 46-year-old man is dead after being struck by an SUV in Las Vegas over the weekend, police say.
crash happened just after 9 p.m. Sunday on Tropicana Avenue, west of Paradise Road, authorities said.
Investigators say the man was crossing Tropicana outside a crosswalk when he was hit by a Ford Escape and thrown forward. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 58-year-old woman driving the SUV was not injured. The crash marks the 37th traffic-related death in Las Vegas police jurisdiction this year.
