Thomas shows flash of brilliance in latest column

Not being a fan of Bob Thomas, I have to tip my hat to him for Thursday’s column. He always writes wearing his super conservative blinders and seems to wish we were all back in the 1920s. But today, he was right on target. Forget about Syria, Iraq, Egypt, Libya and the rest. They all hate our guts, and all the U.S. does is apologize for them and provide aid and help while they spit in our collective eyes.

Good for you, Bob. There was a flash of brilliance behind your blinders after all.

Remove any more nails and the country will tumble to the ground

To tear down a house, you remove the first nail first, then as you proceed, you remove more and more nails. Finally, the house comes tumbling down. To bring down a country of laws, you grant amnesty for one law, then in a quest for votes, you progressively grant amnesty for more and more laws.

Are our politicians in their quest for votes willing to take the first step in bringing down our country? Is amnesty for lawbreakers who violated our immigration laws the first step in this process? You all must decide for yourselves. I have my opinion.

It seems as though the re-election of our politicians is being put above all else. Is amnesty for violating our laws of immigration the first nail? I, for one, am not willing to take the chance, and if our politicians want our country to continue to be the best country in history, I don’t think they should take the chance. If our politicians are willing to bring down our house (or country), what would the next law be for which they’ll be willing to grant amnesty? Based on the occurring scandals, it would appear our right to privacy will be next.
