(AP) — Thousands of people watched as politicians joined beauty queens and high school bands Saturday in the annual Nevada Day Parade in Carson City.
The parade, which dates back to 1938, celebrated the 149th anniversary of Nevada’s statehood in 1864 under President Abraham Lincoln.
