Shelves are being stocked by volunteers with Friends of the Carson City Library in anticipation of the grand opening of the new Browsers Corner Bookstore at 9:30 a.m. April 12.

The new location, at 711 E. Washington St., is just across the street from the Carson City Library. The ribbon cutting will be at 9:30 a.m. with the Chamber of Commerce. Refreshments will follow, along with a free raffle.

The new bookstore will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day except for Sundays and holidays. The Friends of the Library sell books, magazines and audio-visual materials that have been donated by the community to benefit the Carson City Library.

Donations are always welcome and may be dropped off at the new location.
