Nugget staffers were great in an emergency

Last Sunday we took my mother to the Carson Nugget to celebrate her 88th birthday. She was sitting at a slot machine when she got sick and passed out. She fell, hitting her eye and head as well as some other injuries. The Nugget security staff was at her side immediately and called 911. All the staff was great! One security guard, Skyler, stayed with her the whole time, reassuring her and letting her know how close the paramedics were to coming.

After we got to the hospital we discovered one of her hearing aids was missing. My husband went back to the Nugget and they had it. After we had left with the ambulance, security had scoured the area to make sure we hadn’t left anything behind and found it.

We just want to thank everyone who helped us! You were all wonderful!

V&T depot could go near prison museum

The depot for the V&T train is proposed to be built by the river.

There is another alterative — putting the train depot next to the proposed prison museum, moving the existing train museum next to the depot, building the Chinese museum there if it is still viable, shops, a destination restaurant and the office for future river raft tours.

The passengers could be bused to the river.
