I had the pleasure of meeting the Nevada Welfare and Social Service’s staff in Carson City. These giving individuals donated over $1,500 to Partnership Carson City to support the Remote Area Medical (RAM) event coming to Yerington Oct. 9 and Carson City on Oct. 18.
Their generous support will assist us with badly needed supplies and food for this three-day event providing free dental, vision and medical care to those in such great need they are willing to wait in 10-to-16-hour-long lines for treatment.
Not only is the staff of DWSS generous with their pocketbooks, but also their hearts. Many of them offered to sign up to volunteer for RAM, an offer I gratefully accept. I am so thankful to all of you.
