J. H. McGuirk, the plumber, is now situated in the Opera House block and all jobs of tinning and plumbing I trusted to his care will be attended to in a workmanlike manner, and you don’t have to mortgage your house to pay for it.

No time to theorize — get busy. If there was less talk of muzzling dogs and cats and more drastic action taken in the extermination of coyotes, even though it required the employment of 100 men throughout the state to chase them to their lair, there may be a disappearance of rabies.

Mrs. W.L. Davis, Jr., wife of the publisher of the Carson City Appeal and the Virginia City News, and Mrs. Emma King, both of Carson City, were painfully injured but narrowly escaped death Saturday when their auto went out of control and rolled 200 feet down a ravine south of Virginia City.

Carson City Jaycees, responsible for the glowing cross high on “C” hill, which they installed again this year as a symbol of the Christmas season, expressed their thanks and appreciation today for assistance given in the project.

Santa Claus left his reindeer behind for a few hours on Christmas Eve and he and some helpers drove a Carson City Sheriff’s patrol car to approximately 180 local homes.
