Carson City road report: Carson Street closure pushed back to March 8

The following information applies to the period of March 2 through 8.

Carson Street will not be closed on Sunday, March 1, as initially planned. On Sunday, March 8, Carson Street will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. from William to Fifth streets. Detours will be signed. While the closure will begin at 8:30 a.m. for the entire length, portions of the road will be re-opened as the survey is completed in each section. Traffic traveling east to west on Musser, Robinson, and Washington streets will be allowed, unless the impacted portion will be surveyed, then through traffic flow will be immediately re-opened.

Due to an ongoing water main project, there will be lane shifts on Roop Street at the intersection with Washington Street between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. weekdays and on the weekend. A full closure of Roop Street may be required during the weekend during the day. If required, detours will be provided.

The sidewalk will be closed along the east side of Minnesota Street between Musser and Proctor streets for the entire week.

The sidewalk on the north side of W. Proctor Street will be closed between Curry and Carson streets on weekdays between 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Dan Street between Peters and N. Fall streets will be closed to traffic Wednesday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. All driveways will be accessible.
