Greater Nevada Credit awarding $40,000 in scholarships

Greater Nevada Credit Union is accepting applications for its annual academic scholarship program, which has awarded nearly $200,000 in scholarships over the past 15 years. This year, Greater Nevada will award 20 scholarships for $2,000 each, totaling $40,000.

The Greater Nevada academic scholarship program is sponsored and administered by the credit union and is available to Greater Nevada members and their families. Anyone living or working in Nevada is eligible to join Greater Nevada.

Scholarship applications are available at Northern Nevada high schools and colleges, any Greater Nevada branch, or at gncu.org. Scholarships are awarded based on each applicant’s financial need, academic performance, community involvement, educational and career goals. Applications for the 2015–2016 school year are being accepted now through March 31.
