An 8-year old, 350 pound black bear that was trapped at the prison on Thursday is released Friday morning.
NDOW officials trapped an 8-year-old, 350 pound male black bear at the Northern Nevada Correctional Center Thursday and released him using aversive conditioning techniques and Karelian Bear Dogs on Friday. It was this bear’s first time being trapped.
