Applications open for small business competition

Feb. 15 through March 15, applications will be accepted for Level Up – The Growth Competition for small businesses with big plans. Qualified companies are invited to enter to win part of a prize package valued at over $25,000.

Level Up is a growth competition where six finalists will be recognized at an awards show on May 20th at Nightingale Hall on the University of Nevada, Reno campus.

The Level Up competition seeks to designate itself as a growth competition for existing businesses with significant growth plans. This year’s theme will be Celebrate Entrepreneurship, a nod to the booming business renaissance in the northern Nevada community.

“Profitable, sustainable growth can be one of the hardest challenges facing a small business. Level Up is designed to reward those businesses that have not only grown, but are also taking their business to that next level,” said Tanya McCaffery.

Six finalists will be selected by a group of four respected panelists in the entrepreneurial community: Ashley Jennings — founder of Parlor Shows and Girl Made; Nate Pearson — CEO of Trainer Road; Dr. Todd Sala — partner of Sala Family Dentistry; and Tanya McCaffery — CEO of VAST powered by The CFO Group. The evening will also feature a command keynote presentation by international inspirational speaker, Mary Morrissey.

All finalists will receive professional video production to use in their company’s marketing efforts as well as the opportunity to win the People’s Choice Award for the evening. Additionally, 1st, 2nd and 3rd places decided by the panelists will receive significant prize packages including cash prizes, services and business products.
