Dr. Pierce Carson has been named president and chief executive officer of Gulf & Western Industries, Inc., a subsidiary of Magellan Gold Corp.
Dr. Carson previously served in mining executive positions for companies such as Exxon Minerals Company, Kennecott Copper Corp., Nord Pacific Limited and Santa Fe Gold Corp.
He earned a PhD in economic and structural geology and an MS in ore deposits from Stanford University, and a bachelor’s degree in geology from Princeton University.
