Reno Philharmonic musicians

Robin Bonnell, Hui Lim, Joseph Tatum, and Mark Wallace have joined the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra as contract musicians.

Bonnell was added as an assistant principal cello.

Bonnell previously played in orchestras in California as well as nationally including the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra.

Bonnell studied master classes with Yo-Yo Ma and Zara Nelsova.

Lim was named as a section violin.

Lim is the current concert master for the University of Nevada, Reno Orchestra, and has played with the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra in Greensboro, N.C., the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra in Tallahassee, Fla., the Singapore Festival Orchestra and Concertmaster of the Singapore Pops Orchestra.

Lim has also been featured as a soloist in various soundtracks and films.

Tatum was added as a section cello.

Tatum previously played with the Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind., the Columbus Symphony Orchestra of Indiana and the Owensboro Symphony Orchestra in Owensboro, Ky.

Tatum is pursuing his master of music degree in cello performance at the University of Nevada, Reno.

Wallace was named as an assistant principal bass.

Wallace is currently the section bass for the New West Symphony in Bloomington, Ind., and the Sarasota Opera Orchestra in Sarasota, Fla. From 2011 to 2012 he was the assistant principal for the Philharmonic Orchestra of Mina Gerais in Brazil.

Wallace graduated from Yale University and earned a masters of music from The Juilliard School.
