Steve George

Steve George has been appointed as administrator of the Division of Industrial Relations for the State of Nevada.

George replaces Don Soderberg, who was named director of the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation.

George previously served five years as the chief of staff at the state treasurer’s office. He has 16 years experience working in state government during which time he has worked for four constitutional officers including attorney general, governor, secretary of state and state treasurer.

He has also authored and/or revised two books relating to the history of Nevada: the 11th edition of the Political History of Nevada, published by the Secretary of State’s office; and Moving Nevada into the 21st Century: Governor Kenny C. Guinn, the history of the former governor’s term in office, which he completed while serving as Governor Guinn’s director of communications.
