Save the dates for EDAWN fall events

Mark your calendars for two major events scheduled in the fall by the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN). EDAWN Arts & Business Luncheon and Awards is scheduled for Thursday, September 14, 2017 at the Eldorado/Convention Center. Nominations now being accepted for EDAWN's Arts & Business Awards, which are in partnership with the City of Reno, City of Sparks & Sierra Arts Foundation. EDAWN will present awards to local businesses and individuals that have shown outstanding support and engagement with the local arts and culture community. The purpose of the EDAWN Arts & Business Luncheon and Awards is to encourage businesses to become more actively involved with the arts in the Greater Reno-Sparks community. EDAWN recognizes the importance of having a thriving arts and culture community in order to attract and retain quality companies as well as a qualified workforce. The community is encouraged to nominate a deserving company or individual in various award categories. Winners will be selected by a panel of judges representing both the business and the arts communities of the City of Reno and City of Sparks. Winners will be announced at the September 14 luncheon. There are five award categories including Business of the Year Award, Leadership Award, Advocate Award, Lifetime Achievement Award, and Excellence in Arts Business Management. The Sixth Annual EDAWN Existing Industry Awards is scheduled for Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa. The Existing Industry Awards is a great opportunity to highlight and recognize the accomplishments of the many great primary employers in the region. Nominations are now open. Nominate your company, client or a company you know that may have flown below the radar. Become more visible as an employer in the region and be recognized for your many contributions.
