Cheers & Kudos: Foster parent appreciation draws ample support

The Division of Child and Family Services would like to recognize the various individuals, organizations and businesses that contributed to our 2018 Foster Parent Appreciation Event held at the Governor’s Mansion. Due to the generous support and time given by those listed below, our local foster parent heroes who care for children affected by abuse and neglect, were shown just how much their community appreciates them. The time, talents and treasures of many were utilized to make this event a success. A sincere debt of gratitude is owed to the following: Judge Nathan Tod Young; Special Master Kimberly Okezie; Carson Valley Active 20-30 Club No. 85; American AVK Company; Governor’s Mansion Staff; DCFS Central Office; A Catered Affaire; Hope Crossing Community Church; DJ Steven Nichols; Jump Man Jump; The Fox Brewpub; Magic Carpet Golf; Mom & Pop’s Diner; Fly High Trampoline Park; Carson Hot Springs; San Marcos Grill Red’s Old 395 Grill; Sassafras Eclectic Food Joint; Max Casino; Dutch Bros. Coffee; Fleischmann Planetarium; Les Schwab Tires, Carson City; Debug Computer; Olive Garden; Scoups Ice Cream & Soup Bar.

There were many others that volunteered their valuable time for this project but were not named above. To every individual that participated to make this even successful, much is owed.

If you would like to become part of an amazing group of people that foster, please contact Lori Nichols, LSW, at 775-684-1967.
