Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada released its annual "State of the Economy in Northern Nevada" economic update in a pre-recorded video on Thursday, Feb. 4, in lieu of the group’s annual community luncheon.
In the video, EDAWN CEO Mike Kazmierski reports on progress EDAWN made in 2020, highlighting pandemic-driven opportunities and successes, as well as challenges the region faces in 2021 and beyond.
The update also includes commentary from Jeremy Aguero, principal with Nevada business advisory and market research firm Applied Analysis, regarding the COVID-19 crisis in the state and how it relates to Northern Nevada, which has seen far greater rebounds due to a more diversified economy.
