After establishing a marriage and family therapy practice in Reno in 2010 and forming her own operating company four years later, Alecia Towell has purchased a property at 360 W. Liberty St. in Reno to serve as the new headquarters for Alecia Towell LLC.
The Nevada State Development Corporation assisted with financing for the $420,000 transaction in conjunction with Heritage Bank of Nevada, according to a Feb. 1 press release.
“I could not be more pleased with the purchase of this property, and I believe it came at a perfect time,” Towell said in a statement. “Our previous location was in a multi-tenant building, and issues involving the COVID-19 pandemic were beginning to cause disagreements among business owners there regarding access and hours of operation.
“Our new Liberty Street location is more centrally located, it offers easier access for patients, and owning it gives me greater control over the future of the practice.”
Alecia Towell LLC offers outpatient psychotherapy for individuals, couples and families in the Reno area and throughout Northern Nevada.
The practice specializes in relationship issues, anxiety, trauma and PTSD, in addition to counseling for addiction, behavioral issues, depression, domestic abuse and various other mental health disorders and issues.
“Seizing the opportunity to purchase their own building is a huge positive step forward for any small business, and we are extremely excited for Mrs. Towell,” Sandy Gordon, vice president/business development officer with NSDC, said in a statement. “This positions her well as the business continues to grow.”
