Woodburn and Wedge Managing Shareholder Gregg Barnard announced Feb. 3 the addition of Debra Stieglitz as an associate at the Reno-based firm.

Stieglitz will be an associate attorney practicing litigation and business and commercial law.

Stieglitz earned a Juris Doctor from Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and a Bachelor of Science in political science from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.

Stieglitz joins Woodburn and Wedge — which celebrated its 100-year anniversary as a business in 2018 — from a private law firm practicing in the areas of insurance defense and civil litigation, according to a Feb. 3 press release.

Her previous experience includes judicial clerkships for the Honorable David Hardy of the Second Judicial District Court and Chief Judge Michael P. Gibbons of the Nevada Court of Appeals where she was responsible for researching and writing legal memorandum and court orders analyzing several areas of law including criminal, civil, family, constitutional, employment, tort and federal.
