Several area businesses will be honored at the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada’s 9th annual "Existing Industry Awards" event, scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 21, from 5-7:30 p.m. at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa.
According to EDAWN, the event is an opportunity for the community to “recognize and celebrate the success and accomplishments of the many outstanding companies that make up the backbone of our regional economy — our existing primary employers.” Tickets cost $40 per person; go here to RSVP, as tickets will not be sold at the door. In all, there are 90 business and nonprofit nominees for this year’s awards, several of whom are nominated for multiple categories, which include: Tech Innovation; Small But Mighty; COVID Champion; Corporate Citizen (Small); Corporate Citizen (Large); Employees First (Small); Employees First (Large); Engagement in Education; Leader in Sustainability; Manufacturing Excellence (Small); Manufacturing Excellence (Large); Company of the Year (Small); Company of the Year (Large); and Community Partner of the Year.
