NDOT to include disadvantaged businesses in transportation contracts

The Nevada Department of Transportation has scheduled a public meeting on a program designed to include disadvantaged and minority-owned businesses in federally-funded transportation projects.
The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise program is intended to certify qualified, small women- and minority-owned businesses and set goals for their participation in public transportation projects. NDOT’s goal is to have at least 9.9 percent of projects go to those businesses.
The meeting is set for 2:30 p.m., June 22. While there is an in-person event at the Las Vegas NDOT offices, people in other parts of Nevada can attend remotely by computer or call in for an audio-only participation at 702-780-6673 and enter the meeting ID: 868 121 324#
