People: Katie Freeman joins National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges

The National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges is pleased to announce the hiring of Katie Freeman as the director of marketing, communication, and external affairs.

Freeman joins the executive team at NCJFCJ with over 10 years of experience in leading strategy, analyzing market trends, developing, and executing comprehensive marketing campaigns, managing brand positioning, and crafting compelling content across various channels to earn media.

Mostly recently, Freeman worked for nearly six years at the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada as the manager of entrepreneurial development and media relations.

Prior to that she worked as an anchor and reporter for Sinclair Broadcast Group, and a key account executive for Reno Gazette Journal/USA Today.

Freeman was recruited from her hometown in Oregon to run Division I track and cross country for the University of Nevada, Reno and graduated with a degree in journalism and communication.

She is a member of the Dean’s Advisory Committee for the UNR Reynolds School of Journalism, former president and board member for the Reno-Tahoe American Marketing Association and has volunteered time to notable local organizations such the Boys & Girls Club.
