People: Amanda Jones promoted to director of business development for EDAWN

The Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada has announced the promotion of Amanda Jones to director of business development.

Jones joins the business development team with a well-rounded knowledge of EDAWNs mission and efforts in retention, expansion, and workforce development in her former roles with the organization, in addition to more than 10 years of management experience.

As a Northern Nevada native, Jones has held positions in sales, customer experience, community relations, business development, events, marketing, as well as convention, sports, and corporate sales within the casino/hospitality industry.

Jones is an active member of the Sustainability Partners in Northern Nevada and has volunteered time to local organizations such as the Children’s Cabinet and the Boys & Girls Club.
