People: Miguel Macias wins franchise award

America’s Swimming Pool Co. has named Reno entrepreneur and franchise owner Miguel Macias the recipient of the company’s Franchise of the Year award.

Macias started ASP of Reno in 2016, driven by his passion for pools and delivering exceptional customer service.

Macias also serves as the chairman on ASPs Franchise Advisory Council, further solidifying his commitment to the brand’s values and creating a workplace culture where employees can thrive and grow alongside the company.

Previous to ASP, Macias served 24 years in the U.S. Navy where he learned a variety of skills that have shaped him into the leader he is today.

Reflecting his strong work ethic, Macias holds two bachelor's degrees from The University of Houston and a Master of Business Administration from the Naval Postgraduate School.
