Sierra Nevada Job Corp students will be part of the working teams at the Super Bowl in Las Vegas this week.

Under a partnership formed between Sierra Nevada Job Corps and Contemporary Services Corp., students also participated in the Formula One race held in Las Vegas last month and many other events held recently.

At Sierra Nevada Job Corps, CSC found a young, trained, motivated workforce opportunity that CSC could take from the theoretical application of being a student to the practicality of on-the-job training. SNJC students continue to learn and earn while doing so.

Initially, CSC interviewed 60 SNJC students. Students were hired immediately. They were processed into the company, interviewed, tested, went through orientation, fingerprinted, obtained their guard cards and all they needed to be employed.

CSC payed for the associated costs of over $150 per student. In addition to the Formula One race and the Super Bowl, SNJC students have worked security and had been able to see top pop and rap stars perform.
