The Douglas County Parks and Recreation Department will conduct a concealed weapon certification course instructed by Wynn Simon. The course is approved for concealed weapon carrying permit applicants.
The individual who attends, beginner or advanced, will be tauaght the safe use of firearms as well as learning the parts and operation of both semi-auto and revolver.
The course will conclude with live-fire exercises on the range along with a state mandated qualification shooting and written test. Class handouts and textbooks are included in the price of the course.
The class will be conducted July 12 and July 14 with the live-fire exercise on July 15.
