Sentencings Report

The following men and women were sentenced in Carson City District Court recently:

-- Marlo Paul Camp, 48, of Carson City was sentenced to 12 to 34 months in prison after pleading guilty to felony possession of a controlled substance and failing to register as a convicted sex-offender. He was given credit for 98 days time served.

-- Wanda Hernandez, 27, of Dayton was sentenced Nov. 26 to three years' probation with an underlying sentence of 12 to 30 months in prison after pleading guilty to possession of a controlled substance.

-- Keith Michael Janosek, 38 of Carson City had his probation revoked Nov. 19 and must serve 12 months in the Carson City Jail with credit for 46 days time served on a charge of gross misdemeanor unlawful taking a motor vehicle. He was originally sentenced to three years' probation Jan. 1.

-- Randolph Hazeltine, 45 of Carson City had his probation revoked Nov. 19 to 6 months in the Carson City Jail with credit for 46 days times served on a gross misdemeanor attempted theft charge. He was originally sentenced to three years' probation Sept. 9, 2001.

-- Alejandro Gonzalez-Ramirez, 20, of Carson City was sentenced Nov. 19 to six months in jail after pleading guilty to gross misdemeanor statutory sexual seduction. He must also pay $1,323 in restitution.

-- Jeff Atkins, 36, of Carson City, was sentenced to five years' probation after pleading guilty to possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell. He was originally charged with the felonies of trafficking a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and misdemeanor felon's failure to change address. He must serve 40 hours of community service.

-- Christopher David Ebsen, 23, of Carson City was sentenced Nov. 19 to one day time served and restitution in the amount of $198 after pleading guilty to gross misdemeanor attempted theft. He must pay a $500 fine or serve 20 hours of community service.

-- Juan Ventura-Rosad, 23, of Carson City was sentenced Nov. 25 to 153 days time served on a gross misdemeanor indecent-exposure charge and 12 to 32 months in prison for felony attempted burglary.

-- Mathilda Marie Barney, 54, a transient, was sentenced Nov. 25 to five months in the Carson City Jail after pleading guilty Sept. 3 to gross misdemeanor attempting to commit sexual acts in public. She was given 44 days credit for time served.

-- Jorge Gonzalez-Esquivel, also known as Jorge Gonzalez Perez, 32, of Carson City was sentenced Nov. 25 to probation. He is being held in the jail until being picked up by Immigration and Naturalization for deportation. He pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance for purpose of sale. He was originally charged Sept. 8 with the felonies of trafficking of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for purpose of sale and possession of a controlled substance; and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, obstructing a peace officer and miscellaneous traffic offenses.

-- Sean Alberson, 35, of Carson City was sentenced Nov. 25 to probation and 40 hours community service after pleading guilty to felony theft. He must pay $15,000 in restitution.
