District Court Sentencings

The following people were sentenced in District Court:

--Barot Elizabeth Evans, 35, of Carson City, was sentenced to three years probation and 80 hours of community service for felony possession of methamphetamine.

-- Anthony Turner, 36, of Carson City, was sentenced to 12 months in jail and $100 restitution for felony possession of a controlled substance.

-- Eligio Escobar Rodriguez, 39, of Carson City, was sentenced to 12 to 30 months in prison for third offense drunken driving.

-- Michael Allan Menas, 47, of Carson City, was sentenced to 12 to 48 months in prison for ex-felon in possession of a firearm.

-- Mathew P. Singh, 19, of Carson City, was sentenced to two years probation, $200 restitution and 40 hours of community service for gross misdemeanor attempted theft.

--Cecilia Garcia, 23, was sentenced to three years probation and ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $1,476 for felony uttering a forged instrument.

-- Misty Marie McCollister, 26, of Gardnerville, was sentenced to three years probation and 40 hours of community service for felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.

-- Brandon Keith Marino, 22, of Carson City, was sentenced to 13 days in jail and a $500 fine for gross misdemeanor statutory sexual seduction.
