Scolari's to build store at Truckee

Scolari's Food and Drug Co.

will build a 39,542-square-foot superstore in Truckee.

Construction will begin this summer with completion scheduled for the spring of 2004.

The store will be at the northeast corner of Donner Pass Road and Northwood Boulevard.

Scolari's, based in Sparks, operates 15 stores in northern Nevada, including two Sak 'n Save stores.

The company also operates three stores on the Central Coast of California.

The Truckee location is the company's first venture into northern California.

MWA Inc.

of Truckee designed the store, which will be developed by Truckee-Donner Pass LLC of Reno.
