James Charles 'Chuck' Brisby

A service for James Charles "Chuck" Brisby, 70, a Carson City resident for the past 15 years, will be at 3 p.m. Friday at FitzHenry's Funeral Home.

Mr. Brisby died Dec. 1, 2003, in Carson City. He was born July 4, 1933, in Wicks, Ark., to Thomas H. and Edith V. Brisby.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Mountain View, Calif., for 18 years.

Mr. Brisby was a machinist supervisor. He was a member of E Clampus Vitus and was a Pentecostal. He was an avid fisherman, co-founder of Mountain View's annual fish fry, and was involved in Chuck and Lena's Little 108.

He was preceded in death by sons James Thomas in 1972 and Charles Daniel in 1982.

Among his survivors are his wife Lena, daughter Kathy and son Bozo all of Carson City; sons and daughters-in-law Rick and Lexie of Oregon, and Joseph and Esther of California; daughters and sons-in-law Darlene and John Americano and Karen and John Nunes, all of California; daughter Gay Brisby of California; sister-in-law, Myrtis Pierson;16 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Carson City.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
