A memorial service for David S. Robertson, 81, a Carson City resident for the past 30 years, will be at 11 a.m. Dec. 13, at FitzHenry's Chapel of Faith.
Mr. Robertson died Dec. 4, 2003, at Carson Valley Residential Care Center in Gardnerville. He was born July 20, 1922, in Maud, Okla., to David S. and Mary F. Davis Robertson.
He married Pauline Massey April 19, 1942, in Norman, Okla.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Garden Grove, Calif.
Mr. Robertson enjoyed hunting and camping. He was a Protestant.
He served in the U.S. Marines during World War II.
He was preceded in death by son David S. III in 1994, daughter Shari Pauline Hakala in 1990 and brothers Ode and John.
Among his survivors are his wife of Carson City; son Steve Alan of Camarillo, Calif.; daughter LaDonna Byrd-Hicks of Carson City; brother, Dee of Bixby, Okla.; sisters Vonia Poffenberger of San Diego, Iris Shepherd of Post, Texas, Vera Sager of Henderson and Norma Jean Sager of El Centro, Calif.; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
