Norma J. Busey, 69, a Carson City resident for the past eight years, died July 24, 2003, at Mountain View Care Center. She was born March 15, 1934, in Illinois to Roy and Florence Beckman Rhoades.
She married Donald C. Busey on May 20, 1954, in Chicago.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived at South Lake Tahoe. Before that, she lived in San Jose, Calif.
Mrs. Busey was a seamstress and enjoyed crafts, flowers and gardening. She was a Lutheran.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son Daniel Thomas; brother Franklin "Bud" Rhoades; and sister, Rosalea Flowers.
Among her survivors are her husband of Carson City; son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Renee Busey of Minden; daughter, Barbara Lehr of Carrollton, Ill.; brother Roy "Sam" of Carrollton; sisters Helen Flowers of Carrollton and Mary Hacker of Las Vegas; and six grandchildren.
No service is scheduled.
