Obituary: Charles Papa

A graveside service for Charles "Chuck" Papa, 45, a Carson City resident for the past 11 years, will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Fernley Veterans Cemetery.

Mr. Papa died May 5, 2003, in Carson City. He was born Nov. 2, 1957, in Astoria, N.Y., to Carmine and Anne Weber Papa.

He served in the U.S. Navy for four years.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Phoenix.

Mr. Papa worked as an electrician in Carson City and the surrounding areas. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He enjoyed listening to music and playing his guitar.

Among his survivors are his partner, Deborah Shope and son, Anthony, both of Carson City; sister, Teresa Rodriguiz of Tampa, Fla.; and brother, John of Howard Beach, N.Y.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
