A memorial service for Irene Roberts Fulstone, 84, a Smith Valley resident, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home in Yerington.
Mrs. Fulstone died Aug. 7, 2004. She was born Feb. 18, 1920, in Coleville, Calif., to Albert and Mabel Roberts.
She attended grade school in Coleville and graduated from high school in Douglas County. She attended Chico State University to become a teacher.
She married Fred Fulstone in 1946.
After graduation, Mrs. Fulstone taught for two years in California and then moved to Smith Valley where she taught for 30 years. She also assisted her husband in the ranching and sheep business
She enjoyed playing bridge with the girls and was a fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brother, George Roberts.
Among her survivors are her husband; daughter and son-in-law Marianne and Scott Leinassar and grandchildren Kristofor and Danielle Leinassar.
