Sally Knowles, 81, a Coleville, Calif., resident for the past 45 years, died May 14, 2005, at South Lyon Medical Center in Yerington. She was born April 7, 1924, in Santa Barbara, Calif., to Harrison and Betty Park Townsend.
Mrs. Knowles married David Knowles in 1949, in Montecito, Calif.
Mrs. Knowles was a brand inspector for the state of California.
Among her survivors are her husband of Coleville; children Salita Joseph of Coleville, Donna Hustace of Wellington and William of Washington; brother, Harry Townsend of Oregon; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A private family service was held.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
